More than a manufacture, Roger Dubuis is a world of its own. This remarkably driven company quickly set the world of fine watchmaking alight with its atypical watches, which struck a perfect balance between traditional watchmaking expertise and avant-garde design.
Roger Dubuis had a long and illustrious career in fine watchmaking that included working at Harry Winston and at Patek Philippe from the mid 1960s until 1980. As a result of his industry experience, in 1995 Roger Dubuis was able to create a brand new watch-making house that could invent a never-before-seen aesthetic and prove their mettle by attaining the revered Poinçon de Genève- The Geneva Seal.

At the onset, Roger Dubuis introduced two collections, Sympathie and Hommage, that instantly made their mark. Both the Sympathie and Hommage housed Roger Dubuis’ in-house calibres with time-only, chronograph and perpetual calendars on display.
The company’s eye-catching extraordinary designs and ingenious horology gained an eager following. The brand was immediately recognisable, both for its distinctive designs and fine movements, which made each Roger Dubuis timepiece more art than watch.
The watchmaker continued to expand and gradually had all of its in-house movements certified with the Geneva Seal which requires an unparalleled level of craftsmanship and know-how. For example, each component of the timepiece must be finished to a flawless degree of perfection. There are multiple stringent criteria that the timepiece must meet in order to be certified with the Geneva Seal. Till date, only some of the best of the best’s timepieces have been able to join the club of Geneva Seal.
