The IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Shock Absorber Tourbillon Skeleton XPL Ref. IW357701 represents an exceptional combination of IWC’s engineering innovation and high-level mechanical watchmaking. Its 44 mm Ceratanium® case houses a striking skeletonized design, paired with a black rubber strap featuring a black calfskin inlay. The convex sapphire glass has antireflective coating on both sides and is secured against displacement caused by drops in air pressure. At the heart of its technical character is a hacking tourbillon mechanism, combined with IWC’s patented SPRIN-g PROTECT® system, engineered to protect the movement from acceleration forces exceeding 10,000 g.

The watch is powered by IWC-manufactured Calibre 82915, an automatic, self-winding movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). Comprising 205 components and 25 jewels, it provides an impressive 80-hour power reserve and can be admired through the synthetic sapphire crystal case back. The 44 mm Ceratanium® case measures 13 mm in height, features a screwed-in crown and offers 10 bar of water resistance. With its sophisticated tourbillon, skeletonized architecture and advanced shock protection, the IW357701 is a highly technical collector’s timepiece that showcases IWC’s XPL engineering expertise, with warranty coverage extendable to 8 years through the My IWC Care program.
