IWC at Watches & Wonders 2025: Ingenieur Innovations, F1 Collaborations, and Pilot’s Watch Powerhouses

At Watches and Wonders 2025, IWC Schaffhausen unveiled an impressive array of timepieces, with the Ingenieur collection taking center stage. These novelties not only pay homage to the brand's rich heritage but also introduce modern innovations that cater to contemporary watch enthusiasts.
Ingenieur Automatic 40 "F1 Edition": A Cinematic Collaboration In an exciting collaboration with the upcoming Formula 1 movie starring Brad Pitt, IWC released the Ingenieur Automatic 40 "F1 Edition." Limited to 1,000 pieces, this special edition draws inspiration from the watch worn by Pitt's character, Sonny Hayes, in the film. The timepiece features a striking green dial with a unique "Grid" pattern, complemented by gold-colored appliques and hands. The 40mm stainless steel case and integrated bracelet maintain the Ingenieur's signature aesthetic, while the green dial adds a fresh, vibrant touch that resonates with the high-octane world of Formula 1.

Ingenieur Automatic 40 in Full Gold: A Luxurious Evolution IWC introduced the Ingenieur Automatic 40 in a full 18-carat 5N gold construction. This model features a 40mm case and integrated bracelet, both crafted entirely from polished and satin-finished gold. The black dial, adorned with the signature "Grid" pattern, offers a striking contrast to the warm gold tones. This timepiece is powered by the IWC-manufactured Calibre 32111, providing a robust 120-hour power

Ingenieur Automatic 35: Embracing a New Size In a nod to evolving preferences for more compact timepieces, IWC introduced the Ingenieur Automatic 35. This model features a 35mm case, making it highly wearable for those seeking a smaller yet equally robust watch. Despite its reduced size, the Ingenieur Automatic 35 retains the iconic design elements of the Ingenieur line, including the bezel with five functional screws, the integrated bracelet, and the distinctive "Grid" dial. It's available in luxurious 18-carat 5N gold and stainless steel options, catering to diverse tastes.

Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar 41: A First for the Collection Breaking new ground, IWC introduced the Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar 41, marking the first time a perpetual calendar complication has been integrated into the Ingenieur lineup. Housed in a 41.6mm stainless steel case, this timepiece is powered by the IWC-manufactured Calibre 82600, featuring a highly precise perpetual calendar module developed by Kurt Klaus in 1985. This sophisticated mechanism automatically recognizes the different lengths of months and leap years, requiring no manual adjustment until 2100. The radiant blue dial showcases the day, date, month, and moon phase indicators, all harmoniously arranged for optimal legibility.

Expanding its Pilot's Watch collection, IWC introduced the Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month. This timepiece combines a flyback chronograph with a digital perpetual calendar, all housed within a 43mm case crafted from Ceratanium®—a proprietary material that merges the lightness of titanium with the hardness of ceramic. The black dial features gold-toned digital displays for the date and month, inspired by IWC's historic Pallweber pocket watches. The integration of these complications showcases IWC's commitment to engineering excellence and innovative design.
