THE WATCH OF ACHIEVERS: PASHA DE CARTIER RETURNS
The Pasha de Cartier was first created in 1943, as a 1 of 1 unique piece, upon special request from the “Pasha of Marrakesh” who desired a bespoke timepiece that would be a perfect fit for his active lifestyle. Louis Cartier answered this request with the Pasha de Cartier, the first ever water resistant timepiece, that would allow the Prince to swim, and simultaneously be elegant for his royal duties.
The unique piece created for the Prince, remained an elusive watch until 1985 when the Pasha first became available for purchase. The launch of the Pasha collection stemmed from Cartier’s decision to introduce a new sports watch. To create this collection Cartier engaged the legendary Gerald Genta who used The 1 of 1 Pasha developed for Prince El Glaoui as the primary source of inspiration and conceived this sporty yet extremely elegant range in 1985.

On 4th September 2020, one of Cartier’s most historical and successful models made its comeback with a bang. The Pasha has now been relaunched with much of its classic and iconic design such as the “Square inside a circle” but with a modern touch. The New Pasha is equipped with the recently developed and patented to Cartier “Smartlink” which allows the owner to adjust the bracelet length themselves. The models are also equipped with the QuickSwitch system allowing the owners to interchange between the leather straps and metal bracelets swiftly
The new 2020 Pasha de Cartier collection comprises men's and women’s timepieces from steel, yellow gold, pink gold to high jewellery and skeleton versions. Let us have a look at the new offering in detail.
